Senior Architectural Technician
Location: Kent
Salary: £37-47,000 (dependent on experience)
A long-established architecture and surveying firm is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to enhance its Kent-based team. This position provides the opportunity to work across a broad mix of schemes-including residential, commercial and industrial-while focusing on delivering accurate technical design and comprehensive construction information.
Key Responsibilities
Develop precise technical drawings, BIM models and construction documentation throughout all project phases
Ensure all design deliverables comply with relevant legislation, UK building regulations and structural/services criteria
Work closely with architects, surveyors, clients and external consultants to produce practical, fully coordinated design solutions
Mentor junior colleagues by supporting best practice in drawing standards and efficient workflows
Contribute to the preparation of tender packages, specifications and contract-related documents as required
Support sustainable design strategies and assist in enhancing the studio's digital design processesCandidate Profile
Proven background as a Senior Architectural Technician within an architectural or multidisciplinary environment
Strong understanding of UK building regulations, BIM standards and detailed construction methodology
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with strong technical drawing and modelling skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all technical documentation
Clear, confident communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to manage deadlines, coordinate several ongoing projects and prioritise workload effectively
Based in Kent or within a practical commuting distanceWhat's on Offer
