The Orthoptic Department at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity to recruit an Ophthalmic Technician with special interest in Vision Screening.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
* Passionate about eye care with a strong focus in paediatric ophthalmology
* Self motivated and proactive who will enjoy planning their own workload and diary.
* Adaptable and flexible and able to adjust roles or tasks as needed for the teams success.
This is a part time (22.5 hours per week) Band 4 role. The post involves working as part of the multi-professional ophthalmology team at Warwick/ Stratford Hospital Eye Units and also in school environments. The post involves travel between locations in the South Warwickshire and the Solihull areas.
The role of the Assistant Practitioner is to deliver a high quality, caring and compassionate patient care. The post holder will be undertake assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs for a defined group of patients under the indirect supervision of a registered professional in their specialist area. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of ophthalmic care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
