The Role:
We are currently seeking a System Test Engineer to join a collaborative and forward-thinking technology organisation delivering complex, integrated systems that support critical services and digital platforms.
Working as part of an established test function, you will contribute to all aspects of system testing across integrated environments. You will collaborate closely with development teams, solution architects, product owners, programme managers and, where appropriate, end users to ensure quality, stability and performance across system releases.

Responsibilities:
Perform static testing of requirements, specifications and project documentation
Write detailed test scenarios, test cases and supporting documentation
Prepare and deploy systems for test execution
Execute system, end-to-end and user acceptance tests
Ensure testing standards and governance processes are adhered to
Produce test plans, status reports and outcome reports
Provide clear and constructive feedback to development and project delivery teams
Schedule and coordinate test activities
Maintain and manage test environments and equipment
Maintain standardised test documentation and provide guidance on bespoke documentation where required
Collaborate closely with Development, Programme Management and Design teams
Support a service-oriented and customer-centric approach to delivery
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in manual system testing, end-to-end testing and user acceptance testing
Strong ability to create test scenarios, test cases and structured test plans
Experience working with system and/or software testing tools and best practices
ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent)
Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
High attention to detail and passion for quality assurance
Desirable Experience:
Working knowledge of SQL
Understanding of networking principles and associated protocols
Experience working within V-Model and/or Agile testing methodologies
Awareness of automated testing practices
Knowledge of configuration management processes
Experience using tools such as TestRail and Jira
Fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Additional qualifications in computing, engineering, mathematics, quality assurance or related technical disciplines
