Job Description
We are seeking an HSE Manager to provide expert guidance to managers, supervisors, employees, and contractors on safe work practices, safety standards, and legal regulations. The role involves supporting hazard identification and elimination, ensuring control measures are in place. Candidates should ideally have experience in onshore renewables or offshore wind farm construction.
Responsibilities
* Promote a proactive HSE culture through leading by example, engagement, data use, awareness, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned.
* Support development and implementation of HSE systems, procedures, instructions, and documentation.
* Develop instructions, procedures, and contingency plans.
* Evolve the HSE Management system and QHSE processes.
* Manage global and local emergency response and crisis management plans.
* Conduct audits and compliance checks (ISO 9001/14001/45001/55001).
* Plan and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, briefings, safety walks, inspections, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, and cultural programs.
* Review HSE documentation, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
* Monitor and assess HSE performance and compliance using incident reporting tools.
* Coordinate safety inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and report lessons learned.
Additional Notes
This role is initially onshore at Humberside Airport, with offshore work commencing later. Flexibility for occasional overseas visits is required.
Qualifications
* Experience with HSE in onshore renewables or offshore wind farm construction.
* Proven experience working with third-party contractors on HSE matters.
* Completed NEBOSH Level 3 or equivalent HSE qualification.
* Valid site safety passport (CCNSG or CSCS).
* Current clean UK driver’s license.
Desirable Qualifications
* QHSE BSc, Diploma, or Level 6 qualification.
* NEBOSH or IEMA Environmental Management qualifications.
* Certified auditor qualification.
