The post holder will be a motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic individual who is willing and able to join the Willow Ward at NGH and to help us to maintain our high quality of service.
The post holder will work as an effective member of the team, providing quality administrative support to the wider team.
Normal routine clerical duties, e.g. filing, charting, making lists, completing forms.
Answering telephone, taking messages and enquiries regarding patients' condition after consultation with ward nursing staff and to adhere to the data protection as per policy.
Operate patient administration computer system and ensure computer system is up to date at all times with details of all patients currently on the ward
Ensure all patient details on the computer are correct, including ethnic origin and religion.
To ensure that all patient discharges and transfer details are recorded on the computer as soon as possible after the event.
To ensure that that all patients admission, transfer and discharge details are recorded in a timely manner.
Maintain an adequate supply of stock levels to maintain the smooth running of the ward.
To complete some housekeeping duties from time to time with reorganisation of stock and tidying and ensuring the ward is presentable.
