Responsibilities
* Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times.
* Opening and closing the site when required due to operational hours of the business.
* Expectation to work early in the morning, late weekdays, and weekends.
* Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
* Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks.
* Report and chase all defects, to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
* Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
* Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
* Ensure the whole of the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness.
* Maintain cleaning outside of contract hours.
* Ensure the in‑house cleaners (General Assistant) are cleaning to the highest standard.
* Ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members and yourself.
* Always deliver outstanding member service.
* Help create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy themselves whilst at work.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties, projects or meetings that may be required.
* Always be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills and Experience
* Experience, ideally in a management position within a leisure related industry.
* Passion for customer service and inspirational leadership in the way they manage.
* Qualification to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
* Experience in driving sales and helping to co‑ordinate local marketing activity as well as managing a successful team.
* Ideally experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility, or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational function.
