The role involves assisting patients with varying mobility and medical needs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and comfort throughout their journey. You will use specialist equipment, follow clinical and operational procedures, and work closely with healthcare professionals. Flexibility, compassion, and professionalism are essential in delivering high-quality patient care. What You'll Do: Provide safe, respectful, and timely transportation for patients to and from hospitals, care homes, clinics, and private residences. Support patients with a variety of physical and cognitive needs using specialist equipment like wheelchairs and stretchers. Deliver first aid and oxygen therapy where needed. Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and fully stocked. Maintain accurate patient and journey records. Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and patients families. What Youll Need: Full UK B category driving licence MANUAL ONLY (held for 12 months, max 6 penalty points). Previous experience in a customer or patient-facing role. Strong communication, numeracy, and literacy skills. Respectful, compassionate, and trustworthy approach to patient care. Flexible and able to work across shift patterns and locations.
