A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Embedded Digital Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering department working on the development of complex, cutting-edge embedded digital systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design and development of complex embedded digital systems across a varied project portfolio
* Support embedded system architecture and design activities, including partitioning functionality between software and FPGA domains
* Undertake design implementation across embedded software, FPGA/firmware and digital hardware, depending on project needs
* Support integration and test activities on target hardware platforms
* Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust engineering solutions
* Participate across the full development lifecycle, from concept and design through to integration and test
* Support continuous improvement, problem-solving and innovation within the engineering team
The ideal candidate would have
* A background in Digital Hardware Design, FPGA/Firmware Design, or Embedded Software Design
* Experience or knowledge of embedded digital system design and modelling
* Exposure to performance analysis and trade-off activities within embedded system architectures
* Experience supporting the integration and test of embedded systems onto hardware platforms
* An interest in developing across multiple technical disciplines within embedded engineering
* The ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary engineering teams

* A strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for working with advanced technology
* The ability to communicate effectively within technical teams
* A proactive and adaptable approach to working across different phases of the development lifecycle
