As an Infrastructure Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in assuring the performance, resilience, and security of complex infrastructure platforms across cloud and on‑premise environments. You’ll participate in high-impact programmes and contribute to rigorous testing and automation.
Responsibilities
* Design and execute infrastructure test plans across cloud and on‑prem environments
* Automate and maintain test scripts using Python, Bash, Terraform, or Ansible
* Integrate and support testing within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
* Validate and assure infrastructure-as-code deployments and configuration changes
* Monitor and analyse system performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
* Collaborate and align with DevOps, SRE, and engineering teams
* Document and improve test cases, results, and quality processes
Qualifications
* Strong experience in infrastructure testing or engineering
* Experience in infrastructure testing, QA, or engineering roles
* Strong understanding of infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, virtualization)
* Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
* Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments
* Exposure to containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Knowledge of networking and security best practices

Location & Security
Position will be based at a site near Gloucester, 5 days a week. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
