At University Hospitals Dorset, we have a unique opportunity for you to join a dynamic and exciting pelvic health therapy workforce as a trainee or established advanced practice physiotherapist.
Salary: Band 7 (with progression to Band 8a upon successful completion of the ACP apprenticeship and attainment of the ACP digital badge). The ACP apprenticeship takes 3 years to complete.
(Please note, we also encourage applicants who have already gained their ACP digital badge; in this case, the job role would start at Band 8A.)
This position is twinned with a funded advanced clinical practice apprenticeship, with one day a week dedicated to completing the apprenticeship.
This role involves using highly developed clinical reasoning skills to manage a pelvic health physiotherapy caseload. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership within the pelvic health therapy team in urogynaecology, gynaecology, and urology domains, including education, training, and mentorship of junior staff.

This role covers UHD, primarily at Poole and Christchurch hospitals.

In this role, you'll provide clinical expertise within Enhanced Practice gynaecology clinics, playing a key role in determining the most appropriate care for patients with a predominantly gynaecological caseload.
You will conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret examination findings, develop diagnoses, and create tailored management plans considering patient needs and local guidelines.
You will supervise, train, and educate junior physiotherapy staff in pelvic health therapy.
As you progress through your apprenticeship and into an advanced practice role, you'll engage in service development, quality assurance, and research activities.
Christchurch hospital has recently undergone a significant refurbishment, offering excellent facilities including physiotherapy gyms and consulting rooms. Staff amenities and secure bike storage are available, encouraging sustainable commuting.
