We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our exciting and growing e-commerce team. The position will be for assisting the e-commerce manager in delivering and expanding our already successful E-commerce shop that is continually growing.
We are looking for a passionate new team member who will be able to assist in all areas of E-commerce functions from start to finish of a transaction on the platform. This will also include producing financial details ready for the Financial Controller.
Our wish list includes proven experience and ability to meet income targets, effective time management skills, ability to self-motivate. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record with online sales and understands the processes that this entails.
The following list is not exhaustive and is intended only to indicate the range of activities that the post holder will be required to undertake. Further duties and responsibilities may be added as identified from time to time and it is expected that the post-holder will accept all reasonable requirements and developments of the job.
To be responsible for the effective operation of online sales with responsibility for:
1) Managing the day to day running of e-commerce in the Managers absence.
2) Maximising sales through effective processing of donated stock by testing, preparing and creating listings.
3) Maintaining effective stock management.
4) Carry out administration by producing financial details.
5) Ensuring relevant policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Strategic Role as E-commerce Assistant
1) To assist the E-commerce Manager in the operations of eBay but to take full responsibility in the eCommerce managers absence.
2) To propose action to the E-commerce Manager for operational improvements.
3) To maintain an awareness of developments within the platform, especially in the charity sector, updating the E-commerce Manager as required.
4) To maintain good channels of communication with colleagues in other Wisdom Hospice Shops.
Optimising Sales
1)To assist the shop in meeting sales targets.
2) To assist marketing campaigns and sales promotions to increase sales within the platform.
3) To ensure good customer care is taken at all times.
Maintaining Effective Stock Management
1) To control starting prices based on past sales history.
2) To ensure the highest possible resale value of donated stock.
3) To apply suitable display standards that presents the stock in its best possible form.
4) To help control stock density and rotation.
Administration
1) To ensure all E-commerce trading policies across all platforms are adhered to and enforced so that no disciplinary actions will be taken against the charity.
2) Ensure all Gift Aid items are recorded accurately as well as shop origins.
3) To take action promptly on refunds or questions to customers in the absence of the E-commerce manager.
4) Carry out postings within time frames of items sold.
Premises Management
1) To ensure good housekeeping is to Wisdom Hospice Shops e-commerce offices.
2) To check that all equipment is kept in good working order.
3) To inform the E-commerce Manager of necessary repairs and maintenance.
Security
1) To act as secondary key holder.
2) To ensure the security of stock and equipment both in store and when delivering items to the post office.
