This is a great opportunity to join an establishedteam to help make a difference to the care of Older Adults both in Hospital andacross Leeds. In this varied but fast paced role the successful candidate willbe working alongside Leeds Community Healthcare helping to manage the Home Ward(a Virtual Ward), attending the daily MDTs, working with the Assistant BusinessManager to assist with service improvement.
The successful candidate will be a compassionateindividual who is highly organised with a keen eye for detail as well asexcellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of a secretarialrole with MDT experience would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job
TheHome Ward is a joint service between Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust(LTHT), Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) NHS Trust and other local healthorganisations. The service provides a rapid response to care for people whoare living with moderate or severe frailty in their own home during anepisode of ill health. The successful candidate will work very closely withLeeds Community Healthcare, assisting with preparing the daily MDT list,attending the MDT and capturing actions and collaborating the performancedata.
TheAdministration Coordinator will be required to work collaboratively withConsultants, Matrons, and other medical colleagues to support the admin ofnew service developments/projects within the CSU alongside the AssistantBusiness Manager

Job responsibilities
Thepost holder will be accountable for the provision of a comprehensiveadministration/secretarial service to the Older Peoples Medicine Team. This will include secretarial activitiesfor example word processing, filing, diary management, post management, etc.,but will also include developing, maintaining, and managing office andinformation systems. The post holder will play a key role in preparingagendas, taking, transcribing, and distributing minutes, organising follow upaction and ensuring an effective bring forward/briefing system in respect ofkey documentation required.
Thepost holder may be responsible for:-
The day-to-day management of theadministrative assistant(s) and provide training to ensure a full andeffective administrative service is delivered. Where necessary the post holder will takeresponsibility for the recruitment and selection administration process,induction and orientation programmes, initiating initial grievance anddisciplinary procedures, staff training and allocation of work in thedepartment including reviewing work performance.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience in administration/secretarial/personal assistant capacity in a large and complex organisation.
* Ability to interpretate and analysis of reports, databases and spread-sheet information.
* An understanding of Service/Departmental, Trust and National standards/targets that impact on the service area.
* Understand and adhere to data protection, confidentiality and copyright laws.
* Previous working experience in a health care environment Customer service skills
