Closing Date: [Insert Date] Wates Property Services (WPS) is seeking a skilled and proactive Resident Engineer to join our team on-site at the Twycross Zoo redevelopment project. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, sustainability-focused initiative that will enhance visitor experience and support wildlife conservation.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily engineering activities and ensure alignment with project specifications.
* Monitor site progress and report on milestones, risks, and technical challenges.
* Conduct inspections and quality checks on installations and materials.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of works.
* Maintain accurate site records and contribute to project reporting.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
* Proven experience in a site-based engineering role, ideally within construction or property services.
* Strong technical knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, and M&E services.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree) and CSCS card.
