Graduate Electrical Engineer – Water & Wastewater – Newry Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a leading global, multidisciplined engineering and construction company to recruit a Graduate Electrical Engineer. This contractor provides a wide range of construction services across infrastructure sectors, including rail, water, power, and natural resources. Your new role Assist in the design of electrical systems for treatment plants Support the development of cable sizing, layout drawings, and schematics Contribute to the selection and specification of instrumentation Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors Participate in site visits and commissioning activities Technical Exposure Power distribution and low-voltage systems PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and telemetry Electrical safety and compliance Instrumentation and control systems What you'll need to succeed Degree in Electrical Engineering (or nearing completion) Interest in automation and control systems Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit and Microsoft Office Strong communication and problem-solving skills Full Driving Licence What you'll get in return This graduate role offers the chance to work on innovative water infrastructure projects while developing core electrical engineering skills.
