Start Date: ASAP – Flexible start dates available
Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary
Hours: 8:45 am – 3:15 pm
Pay: £110 - £120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the School:
Our partner school in Bude provides a specialist Area Resource Base (ARB) for secondary students with complex and multiple learning needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties. The ARB offers a structured and nurturing environment where students follow a personalised curriculum focused on academic learning, life skills, and sensory development. Students may work toward Entry Level qualifications and, when appropriate, access mainstream classes for GCSEs. The provision includes specialist facilities such as a sensory room and accessible outdoor areas, ensuring every student receives the tailored support they need. All placements in the ARB are coordinated via Cornwall Council’s SEND team and require an EHCP.
What We’re Looking For:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent
* A genuine passion for working with young people with SEN
* Previous experience in education or care settings is desirable
* Strong communication, patience, and behaviour management skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and supporting student well-being
Responsibilities:
* Cover lessons for absent teachers and deliver pre-planned sessions within the ARB
* Support students in accessing learning both 1:1 and in small groups
* Adapt and deliver resources to match the individual needs of students
* Collaborate with teaching and support staff to implement personalised learning plans
* Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
