Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, commercially-minded, and brand-focused Consumer Insights Manager to join our Business Strategy & Insights team at McDonald's UK&I. In this key role, you will represent the voice of the customer, translating data into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions across the company.

Reporting to the Head of Consumer Insights, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our Marketing team, impacting initiatives related to Brand Affinity, Trust, Families, Digital, and Delivery. You will also work closely with our National Operations team to provide insights that inform restaurant design, improve the delivery experience, and enhance customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead insight initiatives across various domains including Brand Affinity, Trust, Families, Digital, and Delivery, in collaboration with Marketing.
* Manage ongoing data sources such as brand and advertising trackers to extract insights explaining performance drivers.
* Act as a strategic advisor to National Operations, supporting restaurant design and customer experience initiatives.
* Partner with Business Insights and external agencies to link commercial performance with customer attitudes and behaviors.
* Manage and develop a Consumer Insight Analyst, providing coaching and growth opportunities.
* Share best practices with global McDonald's markets and contribute to cross-functional projects.


Qualifications & Experience

* 5+ years' experience in consumer insights, with expertise in qualitative and quantitative research, on client or agency side.
* Proven ability to work with continuous data and lead brand and advertising research.
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of linking customer insights to business outcomes.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills, confident in presenting to senior stakeholders.
* Experience in line management and talent development.
* Curious, proactive, resilient, with a can-do attitude, thriving in fast-paced environments.
* Experience in customer experience (CX) research is highly desirable, especially in evaluating and improving in-person service environments.
