What you'll be doing
In this role you will play a crucial role in maintaining the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of BPP systems and data. You will be ensuring that relevant standards and regulations are complied with Worldwide by implementing policies and processes and identifying risks and effective management plans.
As such, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with BPP policies and procedures.
* Responding to customer security queries.
* Conducting supplier due diligence in line with BPP's process.
* Identifying and implementing improvements to Information Security policies and processes.
* Develop training material for the BPP Group and delivering training sessions.
* Providing guidance on information security issues raised by colleagues.
* Analysing solutions, systems, and proposed changes to ensure they do not introduce risk and are aligned to BPP Information Security policies and regulatory requirements.
* Conducting risk assessments in line with BPP's Information Security Risk Management framework.
* Working closely with the IT Team and external partners to enhance and develop security.
* Produce training Information Security documentation, including training material.
* Conducting and supporting internal and external audits.
* Remain up to date with industry changes and evolving threats, making recommendations to management for any changes required to improve security.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role you will need to have a proven track record in the following areas:
Skills
* Analytical thinking.
* Problem solving.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to articulate complex, technical requirements to individuals of all technical ability.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrate ability to apply relevant industry.
* Takes ownership of own development by ensuring that skills are kept up to date, in line with industry changes.
* Knowledge of industry accreditations (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST etc.).
* Experience of Microsoft Security and Compliance toolkits would be an advantage.
