The role
The Quantity Surveyor will support commercial activities, including contract formulation and management, procurement, and supplier relations for capital and construction projects. The role involves implementing sound commercial governance, procurement practices, and supplier relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing end-to-end service to the Capital Delivery and Asset Management teams and other business units
* Managing pre- and post-contract duties related to airport maintenance and refurbishment
* Delivering procurement and contract management across projects within specific airport locations and the wider MAG group
* Managing day-to-day relationships with framework contractors
* Supporting contract strategies aligned with organizational goals and ensuring compliance with regulations such as OJEU
* Maintaining awareness of market environments and developing stakeholder relationships
What will make you successful in the role?
Ideal candidates will have completed or be near completion of a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or a related field, with knowledge of industry standards. 1-2 years of quantity surveying experience is preferred.
You should be an effective communicator with excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities. The role also requires influencing and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
