Current Projects Include: Large scale, site-redevelopment of the Vehicle Storage & Support Programme (VSSP) at Ashchurch (Gloucestershire), and Defence Estate Optimisation (DEO) projects which build and re-purpose multiple assets at sites predominantly across the Central and South of England. The delivery of new and refurbished buildings for the Combat Aviation Programme to maintain, service and store various Helicopter types. The delivery of new and refurbished accommodation and noise compliant Band Practice facilities for the Army Bands, that deliver State Ceremonial and Public Duties. About us: MPP is at the forefront of delivering capital infrastructure programmes and projects both in the UK and oversees, with a current portfolio valued at over £10bn and an annual investment exceeding £1bn. We provide leadership, management and subject matter expertise from initial assessment through to procurement, construction and handover. Our projects are crucial components of national defence capability, operating through a geographically dispersed organisation. As the post is responsible for leading a geographically dispersed team of around 20 capable and motivated staff, there is a requirement for regular travel and occasional overnight stays. Lead all Programme management activities and support project development through overall management, co-ordination and direction of internal and external resources to achieve the delivery plan for construction projects in the programme, resolving issues, initiating corrective actions and effectively managing project change. Ensure the safe and successful delivery of projects to Performance, Cost and Time, ensuring appropriate financial management that is compliant with MOD policy and DIO internal requirements staying within agreed tolerance of delegated budget. Provide leadership for stakeholder management and analysis activities for team/function leading engagement with the most important and influential internal and external stakeholders and negotiating positive outcomes in support of DIO delivery.
