CNC Lathe Machinist Portsmouth, Hampshire £16.00–£17.50 per hour DOE Day Shift (Mon–Thu, 07:00–16:30) An excellent opportunity has arisen for a CNC / Manual Lathe Machinist to join a specialist barrel manufacturing facility in Portsmouth. You’ll be working on precision components in a clean, focused machine shop environment, producing high-quality barrels to tight tolerances on a stable, four-day week day shift. The Role Operate CNC and manual lathes to manufacture high-precision barrels. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts right first time. Use a range of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges) to maintain tight tolerances. Work to established safety, quality and housekeeping standards within the machine shop. Plan and manage your day-to-day workload to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.Skills & Experience Proven experience in CNC and manual lathe machining in a production or precision engineering environment. Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings. Proficient with precision measuring tools. Fanuc control experience is essential.
