Hi, I’m Dom – and I’m looking for a new Support Worker to join my team in Weymouth!
I was born in and live with Cerebral Palsy, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying life. I’ve got a great sense of humour (if I do say so myself), I’m easy-going, and I love spending time with my family. I enjoy darts and snooker, working on my computer, and having my own space at home. I also volunteer at a local charity shop, which I really enjoy.
I’m looking for someone who can support me both at home and out in the community. You’ll be helping me with personal care, therapy exercises, and making sure I stay safe when we’re out and about. I use a powered wheelchair and have some limited movement, so I need someone who’s calm, proactive, and ready to get stuck in – especially if you like swimming, because that’s one of my favourite ways to stay active! You will need to like swimming and be able to drive my Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.
The Role
1. Location: Weymouth
2. Hours: Average of Approximately 30 hours a week based on a 4-week rolling rota
3. Pay:
4. Weekdays: £15.00 per hour
5. Weekends: £16.00 per hour
6. Sleeping Nights: National Living Wage currently £12.21 per hour
7. Driver? Yes, please – you’ll need to drive my wheelchair-adapted vehicle (automatic) and sometimes use your own car for training or work purposes.
8. Accommodation while on duty: You’ll have your own bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
