Theatre Support Worker
Band 2 £25,272 per annum, pro rata if part-time.
Hours: 37.5 per week (part‑time hours available).
All MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working.

Job Responsibilities
To assist in maintaining general tidiness and cleanliness within the department, assist with safe storage of supplies, assist in ordering of supplies, ensure faulty equipment is reported, decontaminated and dispatched, ensure spare equipment is cleaned and stored charged ready for use, ensure safe transportation of lab specimens and collection of blood products, ensure linen supplies are optimised, liaison with wards and recovery units regarding changes in operating lists or anaesthetic instructions, ensure patients are transferred safely from ward to the theatre suite maintaining comfort and dignity, assist with safe positioning for operative procedures, assist in preparing the theatre for all operating sessions, participate in house training and teaching sessions, adhere to Trust policies and procedures, participate in audits and surveys, complete relevant documentation, organise own workload with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and knowledge
* Evidence of basic numeracy and literacy skills
* 4 GCSE passes Grade C or above, or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification

* Previous work experience requiring communication and team skills
* Previous experience within NHS setting
