Vacancy Summary\n\nJob Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor\n\nJob Type: Permanent\n\nJob Ref: #1218\n\nLocation: Watford (+ additional future sites across Hertfordshire)\n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nSalary: c£75k-£80k basic plus competitive package inc car or allowance, health, bonus etc. \n\nCompany & Project: An award winning Tier 1 Main Contractor operating across multiple sectors including Commercial, MOD, Leisure, Education, Science and Residential sectors are seeking to recruit an experienced an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to complement their Commercial Management team working on a c£70m New Build project near Watford. \n\nThe project is currently in Pre-Construction phases, with a start date on site in early 2026.
The successful candidate would have the unique opportunity to be involved in the project from the early stages, reporting into a Commercial Lead. \n\nThe opportunity has a clear pathway for progression with full support with further professional development and training.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing daily commercial management functions through the PCSA stage in addition to but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project.\n\nDesirable Experience:\n\nMinimum 10 years+ experience (post graduation) working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor. \nGood knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts would be advantageous.\nGood negotiation skills and previous experience procuring subcontractors would be advantageous.\nPrevious Roles: Assistant Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Quantity Surveyor OR Commercial Manager OR Assistant Commercial Manager OR Project Surveyor.\nQualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management/NVQ Level 6 or above, or comparable qualification.\n\nApplication Process: If you would like more information on this Senior Quantity Surveyor position or any other vacancy please email your current CV through to Jess Quinn; where it will be reviewed and you will be contacted within 48 hours if your CV is of interest.\n\nServices advertised by Apple Technical Recruitment are that of an Employment Agency/Business
