The Position & Accountabilities
Reporting to the Head of Construction, the Construction Project Manager is responsible for the preparation, delivery and completion of the construction phase of renewable energy storage projects, ensuring compliance with the Project Brief and the Head of Construction expectations (cost, time, safety, quality and environmental performance), as well as contracts and RES/customer management systems.
Key duties include:
* Ensure safety is a top priority on our sites – market‑leading HSE performance.
* Support the Design Team in construction considerations.
* Negotiate construction contract documentation and coordinate procurement.
* Provide supplier performance feedback to procurement.
* Prepare construction budgets, manage costs, reforecast to completion, and report to clients.
* Manage risk and mitigate as necessary.
* Maintain construction programme and milestone dates.
* Direct functional management of the Construction Site Manager and team.
* Ensure all construction insurances are in place.
* Administer all contracts and consultancy agreements.
* Coordinate key completion milestones including energisation and handover.
In addition, the Construction Project Manager shall:

Experience
* Extensive experience in construction management of large‑scale energy storage projects, including battery storage, renewable energy and grid integration.
* Technical expertise in high‑voltage grid connections (132 kV and above) and substations.
* Excellent communication skills for change management and project scope.
* Experience delivering health, safety, quality and environment on complex energy storage projects.
* Extensive experience with construction contracts and documentation related to energy.
Qualifications
* Construction management, Civil/Electrical Engineering degree with at least 3 years relevant experience; or
* An appropriate vocational qualification with a good period of relevant experience in a similar role.
