As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and behavioural challenges. Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages emotional wellbeing and academic success. Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral teams to implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement, self-regulation, and motivation. Manage behaviour effectively through restorative and consistent approaches. Track and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to support continuous improvement. Requirements for SEMH Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (desirable). Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and learning. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
