Job Description
* Contribute to month-end (quarter-end and year-end) reporting, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations* Take ownership of the month end postings and reconciliations* Take ownership of the lease accounting processes ensuring adherence to IFRS16 and FR102 requirements* Co-ordinate and report on transactions impacting the annual tax computation* Contribute to the year-end financial statements and audit processes including taking ownership of the preparation of statutory accounts for a number of subsidiary companies* Participate in tax compliance and risk management projects* Ad hoc reporting and management information as required* Enforce Finance policies and ensure procedures and controls are followed, including assisting in the review of systems and controls, identification of more automated methods and streamlining processes where possible* Liaise with internal colleagues at all levels of the business as well as external auditors and advisors
The Successful Applicant
* Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)* Experienced in a similar accounting role, including experience in:* Analysing large data sets* Month-end procedures, adhering to reporting deadlines* Journal postings* Statutory reporting* Understanding of accounting principles* Attention to detail with a proactive approach to tasks* Proficient in Excel* A genuine team player* Excellent time management and ability to prioritise* Ability to communicate with colleagues across the businessDesirable:* Experienced in the use of ERP systems* Knowledge of IFRS16 lease accounting
