Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Associate to join our Finance team in Ashford, Kent.
Our Finance colleagues provide vital support for the Sales division, and as a Finance Associate you’ll ensure that your team are well positioned to support the business to achieve growth across all regions of the UK.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for providing finance support to our Local or Key Account Managers and the other Independent Finance team members. You will be expected to provide support by acting as the first point of contact for the Sales Team for pricing, contract, rebate and sales queries. You’ll also be responsible for running and issuing monthly reports, month end processes, customer reporting and other margin impacting activity.
The role will also provide the ability to build and adapt reports as well as display commercial acumen. It is ideal for a finance professional looking to take the next step in their career.
This role is offering flexible hybrid working with 1-2 days based in our Kent office for team collaboration and meetings, so you must be with in a commutable distance.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for ensuring accuracy of reports, rebates and rebate reconciliations
* Responsible for providing regular reports to the finance and sales teams
* Review customer performance, pricing and margin analysis
* Raise rebate payments and authorise purchase orders
* Assist the team with the month end processes
* Act as a central point of contact for internal customers
* Act as an ambassador for finance promoting cross functional collaboration and understanding
About you:
This is a great role for someone with a strong academic background who is currently training or would like to train in CIMA in the future. You will have excellent communication and teamwork skills to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders and departments across the business, as well as being meticulous in your analysis and able to prioritise and manage different sources of information with a dedicated focus on driving results. You will have a strong desire to succeed and take ownership of your work, using your initiative to spot anomalies, question why and follow enquires to a conclusion whilst maintaining professional and ethical standards.
