 
        
        Primary Teaching Assistant - SEND Base
Location: Wallasey
Pay: £94-£98 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
About the Role
Chalk education is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join a SEND base in Wallasey. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential. Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
 * Support pupils with a range of SEND needs on a 1:1 or small group basis.
 * Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
 * Promote positive behaviour and help foster independence and confidence in pupils.
 * Support with personal care and mobility needs where required.
 * Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews and assessments.
About You
 * Previous experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting) is highly desirable.
 * A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
 * Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
 * A genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
Additional requirements
 * References confirming suitability for role.
 * Commitment to Safeguarding.
 * Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
 * Eligibility to work in the UK.
