A major UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) programme is seeking a skilled Cyber Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Lead to join their Security Operations Centre (SOC). This role involves protecting cloud-hosted systems from cyber threats and enhancing threat intelligence and vulnerability management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead detection, triage, and reporting of cyber threats and vulnerabilities daily.
* Ensure timely delivery of high-quality threat intelligence and vulnerability reports.
* Monitor and analyze key threat actors affecting the organization.
* Develop and maintain Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) and collection plans.
* Provide analysis and predictive insights to support decision-making.
* Assess and improve threat intelligence and vulnerability functions.
* Manage and mentor a team of analysts.
* Maintain relevant processes and documentation.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Over 5 years in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or cyber threat research.
* Experience in technical incident response and cyber threat analysis.
* Understanding of threats targeting government and CNI environments.
* Proficiency in open-source intelligence (OSINT).
* Knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking, and cloud platforms.
* Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Leadership and team management experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
* Certifications like ISTQB, GIAC are advantageous.
