Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role assists with the development and maintenance of the IT applications for Phoebe Philo Ltd, ensuring that the applications are user-friendly, effective, cost-efficient, secure, and compliant.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with all departments across the organisation to understand their requirements and work with them to select and implement technology to support their needs, including:
2. Front end ecommerce stack: work with the digital team to ensure that the front end ecommerce stack is optimised, resilient, secure, and compliant
3. Airtable: work with the product development and business teams to understand their needs and enhance the Airtable solution supporting the company's design and development process
4. Finance: collaborate with the finance team to ensure systems for accounting, reporting, accounts payable, online payments, VAT, and payroll are optimised, resilient, secure, and compliant
5. Logistics: work with the logistics team to ensure systems for carrier management, shipping labels, returns handling, etc., are effective and improved
6. Sustainability: collaborate with teams to optimise systems for collecting and tracking sustainability data
7. Integrations: ensure system integrations, including middleware, are optimised, resilient, secure, and compliant
8. Develop and manage relationships with partners and contractors to support technology requirements
9. Provide guidance and training to teams on all systems and platforms to optimise their usage
10. Ensure operational reliability, stability, security, and compliance of technology services and applications using industry standards and best practices
11. Ensure all technology processes comply with relevant laws and regulations, e.g., GDPR
12. Drive collaboration across teams for smooth technology rollouts
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
1. Degree in Computer Science or demonstrable experience
2. 3-5 years’ experience in technology roles within fashion, especially e-commerce and product development, preferably in luxury fashion
3. Experience in start-up/scale-up environments, with ability to adapt and improve technology stacks through growth stages
4. Knowledge of current and emerging computer architectures, application development techniques, and suppliers/partners
5. Experience with relevant systems such as Shopify, Hubspot, Powerfront, Avalara, Global-E, JOOR, Brightpearl, Airtable, Microsoft Business Central, Concur, SDI, and no/low-code platforms like MAKE
6. Ability to lead technology projects to meet business objectives
7. Proven ability to apply technology solutions to business problems
8. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
9. Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
10. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build trust and credibility
