This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding company as a Delivery Lead. You will be joining a London-based financial software company that focuses on the Wealth, Investment and Fund Management industries.
As a Delivery Lead you will be directly managing the day-to-day activities of the Scrum Team members, being the go-to point for resolving issues and ensuring the team are keeping on track according to project timelines. This is an excellent opportunity to exercise skills of an Agile coach, ensuring the Scrum Team adhere to the Scrum framework.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate Agile Delivery: Manage sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring ceremonies are effective, collaborative, and timeboxed.
* Support Delivery Commitments: Monitor sprint progress, ensuring scope is managed within sprint timeboxes, and deliverables meet agreed quality standards.
* Backlog Management: Partner with Business Analysts and Project Managers to maintain a clear, prioritized, and actionable product backlog.
* Delivery Planning: Collaborate with Project Managers to develop delivery roadmaps, support implementation tasks, and proactively manage risks to successful delivery.
* Agile Coaching: Mentor team members in Agile/Scrum principles, guiding teams toward higher levels of maturity and fostering continuous improvement.
* Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other Delivery Leads and Agile teams to share best practices, align processes, and improve organizational delivery capability.
* Impediment Resolution: Actively identify and remove blockers, facilitate problem-solving, and ensure smooth progress for the Scrum Team.
* Communication & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal communications, ensuring transparency with stakeholders and alignment across teams.
* Team Empowerment: Build a collaborative, supportive environment where teams take ownership of delivery and are motivated to achieve their goals.
* Performance Tracking: Track and report on delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, burn down/burn-up charts) to provide insight into team performance and progress.
* Change Leadership: Act as a change agent, promoting Agile values and principles across the organization and helping teams adopt new ways of working effectively.
Role Requirements:
* A strong academic background
* Familiarity with software development
* Proficient knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
* Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
* Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
* Excellent organizational skills
* Scrum master certification
* Industry experience is preferable
