Responsibilities
 * Undertaking flood risk assessments and preparing deliverables.
 * Supporting complementary projects and developing skills in sustainable drainage design, planning application reviews, preparing Local Flood Risk Management Strategies, permitting applications, and environmental assessments.
 * Carrying out site surveys to collect baseline information and support Section 19 investigations.
 * Taking leadership of certain project management activities including financial and programme management.
 * Communicating and liaising effectively with the project team and wider business.
 * Working collaboratively within the team and proactively supporting junior staff.
Skills & Experience
 * Experience of flood risk assessment preparation and supporting skills such as flood risk modelling, flood risk strategy development, drainage design, or Water EIA, preferably in a consultancy setting.
 * Experience providing technical inputs for planning and permitting for major infrastructure projects, including FRA and Water EIA inputs, DCO examinations, and environmental permits.
 * Knowledge of the regulatory context for flood risk planning in the UK.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Some experience in supporting project management.
Qualifications
 * A degree in an environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline.
 * Actively working towards chartered status with C.WEM, CEnv, CSci or CEng.
