Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of just under 180 organisations which provide over 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse. Our support services, which include the Survivors’ Forum, the No Woman Turned Away Project, the Survivor’s Handbook, Love Respect (our dedicated website for young people), the national Women’s Aid Directory and our advocacy projects, help thousands of women and children every year. Purpose of the Training Coordinator role: As Training Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in primary coordinating for all training and events and to oversee the delivery and administration of high-quality training programmes, webinars, e-learning courses and events relating to services for women and children experiencing domestic and sexual violence. The role will also support the development of national accredited programmes for the sector and lead on establishing effective administration and management systems for the department. Key duties and responsibilities of the Training Coordinator: Be the first point of contact and manage communication and coordination with external organisations, learners, consultants, and other external contacts requesting and receiving support and information from Women’s Aid about Training and Development programmes Facilitate communication and coordination within the team and with different departments, ensuring deadlines are met. Efficiently manage correspondence, follow-ups, and established protocols throughout the entire process of all programme implementation (preparation, execution, and post-delivery). Develop and implement a well-structured, and carefully organised management system which enables the team to effectively track, monitor and support learners. Support with training work-related financial requirements such as processing invoices, uploading purchase orders and any other finance-related support. Organise meetings, events, conferences, appointments, and manage the teams calendars. Maintain and update databases, records, and files to ensure that relevant information about the work is organised, recorded in our CRM and SharePoint, kept up to date, is accurate, meets deadlines and is accessible to relevant team members. Handle and organise all administrative tasks, such as booking accommodations, transportation, business accounts, company credit cards, and any other work-related arrangements, to ensure the team's smooth operations. All while ensuring cost management is efficient for these expenses and is in line with WA financial policies and procedures. Support the development and implementation of safeguarding processes where necessary. Maintain an intellectual property/licencing register specifically in relation to training materials in conjunction with the GDPR lead within the organisation. What we are looking for in our Training Coordinator: A basic understanding of the nature and role of national Women’s Aid and Member services. Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality issues in relation to databases. A basic understanding of the safeguarding risks that are present when working with vulnerable adults. An appreciation of the role as a representative of Women’s Aid England and the need to always maintain the reputation of the organisation. Experience of providing excellent customer service, handling enquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. Experience of using/managing online and/or electronic information and data collection systems. This includes utilising relevant software and tools to efficiently gather, organise, and store project related data. Proficient in Microsoft Office, word processing, Access, and spreadsheets, preferably in a Windows-based environment, and in the use of Email and the Internet.
