A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Site Engineer:
* Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
* Assist with temporary works design schemes.
* Maintain good working relations with clients, designers, teams, and our supply chain.
* Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques.
* Ensure that drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction. Formally request missing information promptly to avoid delays.
* Communicate with foremen and supervisors to ensure understanding of provided information.
* Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant for construction.
* Prepare written risk assessments and method statements for work control.
* Keep a detailed daily site diary, including changes, variations, subcontractor attendance, and work-related discussions.
* Ensure inspection and test plans are completed as per PMP/Specifications, including dimension accuracy and quality checks.

* Experience in Construction or Civil Engineering projects, ideally from an oil and gas background.
* Experience with ITPs, RAMs, and Temporary Works.
* Excellent knowledge of current civil engineering legislation, health & safety, and environmental legislation.
* Ability to discuss engineering issues confidently across various levels and disciplines.
* Ability to produce, implement, and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
