We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic One Trafford Council team at our Trafford Depot (Tatton House, 11 Caldey Road, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M23 9LF).
This role will be carried out onsite, with some hybrid working.

In this role, you will support the Trafford account by ensuring accurate cost estimations, compiling client applications, developing competitive quotes, maintaining strong client relationships, overseeing change processes, and ensuring financial control in project budgets. Your work will contribute to the account's success by guaranteeing thorough submissions, efficient budget management, and valuable client partnerships.
The role involves managing projects worth up to 10 million pounds, emphasising the need for precise cost estimations and effective budget oversight to ensure successful outcomes.
What you do:
Commit to following the spirit of the Amey Code, ensuring effective communication with our client(s) and internally
Ensure compliance with the Amey systems, processes and procedures to deliver Post contract commercial management of a Contract values £20-£40m p.a.
Exercise full cost control of project(s) including providing and monitoring budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the Principal Commercial Manager/Project Team to ensure effective project forecasting.
Engage with the Principal Commercial Manager/Project Team in review of monthly and/or weekly cost and value forecasts to completion of the project(s)
Review all variations (changes) to the works in conjunction with other project team members and ensure all contractual notices and early warnings are submitted within the required timescales
Ensure all aspects of subcontract procurement and payment are adhered to and timely and fully justified payments are made to the supply chain.

Degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable
Proven track record to demonstrate skills and qualifications
Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment
Experience with NEC contracts
Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines
