Job Description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
Please note the salary is pro rata for part-time hours.
You will undertake cleaning of patient areas, departments, offices, and administration areas to meet national cleanliness standards. Responsibilities include patient catering, laundering, housekeeping, curtain changing, and porter/messenger services within various healthcare environments, including Mental Health wards.
Good communication skills are essential, as the role involves significant contact with patients.
Training will be provided, including a 3-day induction before starting.
You must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of employment and provide at least two references from your current or most recent employment or education covering the last 3 years. Applications lacking this information will not be shortlisted.
