Head Chef Catering and Hospitality - Collingwood Court Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £17.00 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: Full Time Collingwood Care Home is a newly commissioned specialist care home in Clapham, London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 80 en suite bedrooms across two floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia care and residential mental health support within a safe and clinically led environment. Head Chef £17.00 per hour Full time contract Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract The Role As Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen team and oversee the preparation of high quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of residents living with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. Working closely with the Home Manager and Group Executive Chef, you will plan balanced menus, manage food preparation and ensure meals meet residents’ dietary requirements and preferences. Your leadership will ensure the kitchen runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation. You will supervise and support the kitchen team, organise staff rotas and oversee stock management, deliveries and food storage. You will also maintain accurate records, monitor kitchen equipment and ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations. As part of a newly commissioned specialist service, you will play an important role in establishing kitchen routines and delivering a dining experience that promotes comfort, dignity and enjoyment for residents.
