An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design & Technology and Art & Design Teacher to join a secondary school in the Southampton area. Starting in September 2025, this full-time position will involve teaching a variety of creative and technical subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school are looking to make this position permanent for the right person and are happy to consider an ECT and an experience Design & Technology and Art & Design Teacher for the role.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, practical, and creative lessons in Design & Technology and Art & Design
* Teach a range of disciplines, including Product Design, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Food Technology, and Visual Arts
* Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes independent thinking and creativity
* Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners and track student progress effectively
* Take part in curriculum development and contribute to whole-school initiatives
* Support or lead extracurricular clubs, creative workshops, and exhibitions
* Participate actively in the wider school community and enrichment activities
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A degree in Design & Technology, Art & Design, or a related subject
* Experience teaching both DT and/or Art at Key Stage 3 and 4
* Excellent subject knowledge and awareness of current curriculum standards
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* A passion for inspiring creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills
* Eagerness to contribute to departmental development and student enrichment
* Leadership potential welcomed ideal for those aspiring to step into a Lead Teacher role
