Job Summary General Practice Nurse Location: GP Surgery, Preston Part-Time or Full-Time - 9-Month Fixed Term Contract (January 2026 start) (Option to work 36 hours over 4 days) Salary: £23 per hour / approx. £43,000 per annum (Band 6 equivalent, pro rata) Are you a passionate, patient-loving, jab-giving, health-promotion hero? Main duties of the job What You'll Be Doing: Chronic disease management: diabetes, asthma, hypertension Immunisations and travel health Cervical cytology Wound care, leg ulcer dressings, compression and suture removal Health promotion and lifestyle support Working collaboratively within a supportive, fun multidisciplinary teamAbout You: NMC Registered Nurse with recent primary care or transferable experience Practice Nurse experience essential; system knowledge desirable Excellent communication and clinical skills Calm, organised, and proactive Ready to make a real difference in patient carePerks of the Job: Flexible working and great team support Option to work 36 hours over 4 days Access to CPD and training opportunities Lovely patients (and the occasional grumpy one!)
