We are looking to recruit and train an intelligent and personable Legal Clerk to join our small, friendly team. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist legal practice, with full training and career progression available.
What We’re Looking For
* Law graduates: A minimum of a 2:1 degree is required.
* Non-law applicants: At least 2 years of prior office experience
In both cases, you must also have:
* Excellent numeracy and language skill
* A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
The Role
As a Legal Clerk, you’ll:
* Assist solicitors with case preparation and file management
* Draft, proofread, and file legal documents
* Manage client, court, and third-party correspondence
* Carry out legal research and summarise findings
* Keep accurate records and ensure compliance
* Provide general administrative support to keep the office running smoothly
* If you already have a law degree, we’ll help you build the experience you need to progress toward solicitor qualification.
* If you do not have a law degree, we will support you through the full CILEX qualification route to become a Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX Lawyer).
