Role Overview
The school is seeking to appoint an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and collaborative team. You will work under the direction of qualified teachers, helping to raise pupil attainment and supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day classroom support, including:
o Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
o Supporting individual pupils or small groups, especially those with additional needs
o Preparing teaching resources, classroom displays, and learning materials
* Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils work and play co-operatively
* Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as required
* Support pupils with reading, writing, numeracy, and other key skills interventions
* Undertake routine administrative tasks (e.g. photocopying, filing, record-keeping)
* Help pupils develop social skills and model positive attitudes and behaviour
* Provide pastoral care, basic welfare support, and first aid (training provided)

Person Specification
Essential:
* Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and young people
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
* Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent)
* Willingness to learn, take direction, and respond to feedback (full training will be provided)
* Empathy, patience, and a positive, encouraging approach
Desirable:
* Experience working with children (paid or voluntary), e.g. in a nursery, holiday club, or youth work
* Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
