About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join our Ground Engineering team.
Role purpose: Taking the lead of all site activities and being the first point of contact for weekly site‑based employees. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient running of the contract on site, the management of site resources and ensuring that the company HSEQ system is implemented.
The Site Supervisor promotes excellence, teamwork, integrity and respect, remains self‑aware and promotes best practice and company values at all times. They must be familiar with the relevant company policies and procedures and ensure these are followed.
What You'll Be Doing
* Ensure the project has a relentless focus on Zero Harm, defect‑free delivery and sustainability principles.
* Support the implementation of H&S documentation.
* Deliver clear, engaging task briefings, toolbox talks and check understanding.
* Be aware of project plans and schedules; actively participate in SIC meetings, implementing commercial and contractually viable progress records.
* Support the production of schedules/programmes within the project scheme, identifying conflicts in logic and resolutions.
* Coordinate logistics including material handling, communications, transport, plant and equipment.
* Ensure all plant & equipment used on sites meets BB minimum plant specifications and pre‑start checklists are completed.
* Manage day‑to‑day construction works including associated HSEQS issues.
* Gain an understanding of the sequencing and logic of the project process.
* Support the review of drawings, specifications, and checklists.
* Assist with the production of checklists, snags and quality observations.
* Play an active role in supporting the management of quality issues and the QA process (including NCRs).
* Research and learn about the development and application of building safety and fire safety strategies.
* Understand the package procurement process.
* Be aware of key contract dates in the main contract and various subcontracts.
* Learn and understand the key contractual requirements of sustainability.
Who We're Looking For
* Ability to communicate effectively with both the people they supervise and the site management team.
* Actively involved and contributes to Workforce Consultation Meetings highlighting good practice and areas for improvement.
* Ability to support improvement of safety and sustainability performance.
* Basic IT skills for the use of BIM and construction management tools.
* Basic understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
* Understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
* Awareness of environmental sustainability practices and of construction technology and innovation.
* Extensive knowledge of piling and ground engineering processes.
* Knowledge of procedures relating to Core discipline.
* Basic mechanical knowledge of ground stabilisation and piled foundation equipment.
* CSCS – Gold Supervisors Card.
* CPCS – Lift Supervisor.
* CITB – SMSTS.
* CITB – Temporary Works Supervisor.
* CITB – SEATS.
* First Aider.
* Fit For Role – Safety Critical Medical (SEQUAL Registered).
