The Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) network stretches across the UK. We work alongside our partners to obtain information and evidence to thwart terrorist planning and help bring perpetrators to justice.
**This role is based in Staffordshire.
The role
As a Counter Terrorism Security Advisor (CTSA) you will provide specialist advice on all aspects of Counter Terrorism Protective Security in conjunction with H.M. Government's Contest Strategy (Protect and Prepare), through the completion of national tasks and work streams authorised by the Association of Chief Police Officers (Terrorism and Allied Matters), ACPO TAM and the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO).
The role involves a regular level of tactical and strategic engagement with partner organisations, using professional judgement to deliver long-term projects, working under their own initiative and on occasion with minimal direct supervision, to improve security levels and preparedness of sites to deal with terrorist activity.
There will be a requirement to travel throughout the West Midlandsand Staffordshire regions for which a pool car or travel allowances will be provided. This may involve frequent visits to sites and locations which present a potentially dangerous and physically demanding environment. A full UK driving licence will be needed.
