We are a busy, small animal practice in Ipswich, with a friendly and dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities for debt control:
1. Chase all insurances, cash debtors, direct credits, charity accounts and referral invoices with clients.
2. Be able to refer clients to debt collectors in line with our practice policy.
3. Support the processing of insurance claims for the practice and our clients.
4. Comply with Health & Safety Regulations and local policy within the practice.
5. Work with other team members to ensure that the reception and other areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and are always presentable.
6. Handle bereavement situations by offering physical and emotional support to clients.
7. Locate and adhere to all Company and local policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities for Reception:
To provide exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets, acting as a link between clients and the clinical team. Building strong relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team is critical to your success.
Your excellent client service during visits will ensure client satisfaction and encourage them to look forward to future visits. You will greet clients, offer support, guidance, and expertise, manage payments and bookings confidently, and coordinate the practice’s daily routines using our management system.
The Attributes Required
* You are the friendly and welcoming face for clients and their pets upon arrival.
* Your personality is infectious, creating a welcoming atmosphere alongside colleagues.
* Reception/customer care experience is essential; veterinary experience is advantageous but not required, as training will be provided.
* Good computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to show compassion and follow practice protocols.
* Ability to multi-task and stay organized with attention to detail, especially regarding payments.
* You will lead debt management efforts within the practice, working independently and as part of the team.
* You are calm, attentive, and focused on clients’ needs.
This role is part-time, averaging 27.83 hours per week, with the following schedule:
* Monday: 10:30 - 19:00
* Tuesday: Off
* Wednesday: Off
* Thursday: 10:30 - 19:00
* Friday: 08:30 - 19:00
* Saturday: 1 in 3, 08:30 - 14:00
Initial pay rate: £13.16 per hour.
