Job Description
The purpose of this post is to provide Technical/AV support services to all departments, members of staff, pupils and other stakeholders in the school.
Responsibilities
* Specialised Technical and AV Tasks
* Health and Safety
* Provision and organisation of materials and equipment
* Responsible for relevant in-service training / CPD
* Financial responsibility including inventory tasks
The Individual
* Expertise in the areas of Technical/AV
* Qualified to HNC level in a Technical subject; Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent as demonstrated by experience in any of this field
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Proven time management skills
* Working knowledge of software applications including word, excel and general internet access
* Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn
* Self confidence
* Self motivated
* A commitment to ensure that appropriate health and safety standards are met
* Evidence of an ability to prioritise work tasks for self
* Ability to accurately record information
* Excellent communication skills both oral and written
* An ability to communicate technical issues to all within the school environment
* Willingness to accept direction/delegation
* Ability to lift and carry computer hardware in conjunction with moving and handling regulations
