Essex County Council is hiring a Senior Software Engineer on behalf of London Borough of Havering.
Role Overview: We seek an experienced Senior Software Engineer to innovate with 'Microsoft Dynamics 365', Power Platform, and C# .NET, leading a team of Software Engineers and delivering cutting-edge solutions that align with our values of security, transparency, inclusion, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and maintain innovative software solutions.
* Ensure applications are secure, accessible, and user-friendly, while being cost-effective.
* Understand user needs and simplify solutions.
* Participate in code reviews and uphold IT standards and policies.
* Embrace Agile methodologies for iterative development.
* Document work and maintain security controls.
* Identify and manage risks.
* Lead and motivate team members, providing support and development opportunities. Out-of-hours support rotation included.
Required Experience and Skills:
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
* Experience with 'Microsoft Dynamics 365', Power Platform, and Logic Apps development.
* Proficiency in software development lifecycle, solution architecture, systems integration, and information security.
* Ability to lead technical projects and guide team members.
