Experienced Kitchen Designer required for a British, premium lifestyle brand specialising in beautifully designed, high-quality furniture, kitchens, and home accessories. Founded 30 years ago, this iconic brand has 30 stores across the UK and Europe with an ambitious expansion plan for 2026 and into 2027. They make their customers’ dreams a reality in their home with thoughtful, inspiring designs. Their Kitchen & Interior Designers are vital to the experience and service they provide.
Responsibilities
- Design:
- Discuss customer needs to create a design brief in store, considering all requirements.
- Initial in‑store consultations and home visits to learn about the customer's requirements, lifestyle, ambitions, and limitations.
- Initial design brief consultations, sketches, and ball‑park costings.
- Produce mood boards, sample boards, floor plans, designs, and full quotations.
- Prepare customer presentation packs to the brand's exacting standards.
- Conduct surveys and site visits as appropriate throughout the design project.
- Provide regular updates to the customer and Store Leader.
- Maintain a store‑specific design portfolio for customer inspiration.
- Project Management & Administration:
- Proficiently use our systems: Smartsheets, AutoCAD, Cyrane.
- Manage customer projects, including accurate payments and information through Smartsheets and Cyrane.
- Support colleagues in store and the installation team to deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience.
- Assist on site with delivery if required.
- Ensure accuracy by checking designs against orders and coordinating order movements with the Design Assistant.
- Maintain strong communication with the customer and the Installation Project Manager for seamless service delivery.
- Obtain final design sign‑offs with the Showroom Manager.
- Participate in weekly design meetings.
- Provide keyholder support for store opening and closing.
- Attend training, designer days, and other design‑product related events.
- Continuous Development:
- Take responsibility for self‑learning, completing e‑learning modules, HQ and supplier training, and pursuing personal development opportunities.
- Develop the wider store team’s understanding of architect plans, bespoke drawing creation, mood setting, and sample board preparation.
- Enhance store team design knowledge through in‑store development activities.
