Job Description

Purpose of the role

To optimise staffing levels, forecasts, scheduling and workforce allocation through data analysis to enhance the customer experience within the bank's operations.

Accountabilities

* Management of staff optimisation levels, forecasting and scheduling resources by analysing data, business volume and trends to support the workforce allocation process.
* Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate workforce management processes and governance.
* Development and implementation of workforce management strategies, processes and controls to mitigate risks and maintain efficient banking operations.
* Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in workforce management processes and provide feedback and coaching for colleagues on these highlighted areas.
* Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in workforce management Services. .
* Participation in projects and initiatives to improve workforce management efficiency and effectiveness.
* Development and management of staffing schedules to optimise staffing levels to meet business needs.
* Management of the operational readiness plans, supporting the business with meeting desired customer outcomes.

* OR for an individual contributor, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
* Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
* Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
* Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
* Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
* Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
* Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, solve problems creatively and effectively.
* Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
* Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Embark on a transformative journey as a Capacity Planning Lead at Barclays and be part of the Client Service Data team, where you will be acting as the interface between Operations, Change and Central Functions, ensuring workforce plans are aligned to delivery plans, the financial outlook and customer expectations, build and maintain planning governance and tools, mainly via Tableau and Excel, to enable consistent and accurate outputs and decision making.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to collaborate across multiple business units, ensuring smooth communication and efficient scheduling. Additionally, the role holder will be producing end to end demand and supply forecasts, incorporating volumes, change, productivity, shrinkage, attrition and recruitment.

To be successful as a Capacity Planning Lead, you should have:

* Data science background (understanding of tools such as Tableau, SQL, Python).
* Strong Excel skills.
* Advanced analytical capability.
* Excellent Stakeholder Management and Collaboration Skills: Skilled at building and maintaining relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across multiple business units and forums.

Other highly valued skills include:

* Financial Planning Literacy.
* Workforce Planning experience.
* Awareness of Client Service.
* Change and Transformation experience.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is based in Knutsford, Radbroke Hall, with a hybrid working model of working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
