Job Description A well-established engineering company is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer to cover the UK. As a Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, fault finding, trouble shooting and repairing CNC machine tool equipment. The ideal Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer will be based in the Midlands, electrically biased, and have experience in service or test environments. We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in field service, in-house repair, or component-level bench testing, with strong skills in electrical testing, circuitry diagnostics, and fault finding. Package £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience Company car Private medical care Contributory pension 25 days annual leave ( bank holidays), rising with service Career progression opportunities Free parking Role Provide on-site service support for CNC machine tools and control systems at customer sites across the UK / Ireland Electrical testing, circuitry diagnostics, and fault finding / resolution down to component level Collaborate with internal teams for escalated or complex troubleshooting Carry out bench-based fault analysis and testing Document service activities clearly and accurately Support customers remotely Midlands based with travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays Requirements Engineering degree advantageous but not essential Previous experience in service, testing or diagnostics roles Strong electrical fault-finding skills – including circuitry testing and electronic diagnostics Familiarity with control systems; CNC experience beneficial but not essential Full UK driving licence Must be based in the Midlands
