Do you have an analytical mind? Do you like to resolve queries to everyone's satisfaction?
We are looking for someone who can investigate queries from social care providers, who can unpick action taken and compare it with what should have happened, and can propose solutions.
With knowledge of social care, and experience of unpicking complicated numerical and other data, you will document how the price of a package has changed over time and whether those changes were correct, or trawl through correspondence to pinpoint when particular decisions were made or whether a particular commitment was made. You will be dedicating your time to resolving these queries so that the experience of care providers is that their queries are resolved more efficiently, leading to improved supplier satisfaction.
You will also spot repeated trends in query types and the types of causes which are uncovered, so that we can make the necessary improvements to our processes or our contract documents, and reduce the number of queries coming in.
Administration skills and attention to detail are important, but it’s your ability to unpick the history behind a current query and explain that to care providers and council managers that will really make you successful in this role.
What will you be doing:
1. Investigating individual queries from care providers, including queries about price changes, service changes, and contract interpretation.
2. Feeding back an explanation of how queries have arisen and proposing a sensible solution.
3. Spotting frequently asked questions and collating them.
4. Highlighting broken processes where you identify them
What we are looking for:
5. IT skills – good at using spreadsheets – daily use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Outlook
6. Confident IT user who can quickly learn new computer systems and get the most out of them – can understand how the system works and use that knowledge to suggest technology solutions where we need to improve processes and work with IT colleagues to make it happen.
7. A proven record of problem solving, with confidence to take the initiative and get things sorted.
8. An analytical mindset - someone who can get to the bottom of a problem and explain how it arose
9. Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbal.
10. Someone who prides themselves on attention to detail.
